GREEN CHRYSSIES

Green Chrysanthemums - (and I had to google this flower in order to work out how to spell it correctly)! Isn't this what Anne, from our very own 'Anne of Green Gables', had to spell in class? And I might add, she spelt it correctly compared to dear Gilbert?! No wonder she is such a legend...

I saw these flowers originally in a local cafe, a couple of times actually. I really loved their cheerfulness so went on a little trip into the markets to purchase some for my very own. They last for at least a couple of weeks too, so the cheer is prolonged!

LIGHT & DARK

COLOURED SEAS

I absolutely cannot wait until it is warm enough to visit the beach with friends and 'wear bare feet' as I walk along the trimmings of the ocean! It has felt like a long winter this year...

NEARLY HOME

This is the sight that greets me on my walk home from work. These fences have become a favourite of mine.

LOOK AT ME

My Mum spotted this little flower the other day when she was helping me weed the garden. Thanks Mum! Two little gems:

STRAY LEAF

PASTA CLASSICA

My cousin and I found this little pasta deli after about an hour of thinking of places to go for lunch (Smith St/Brunswick St) and finding out on arriving, that most of them were closed because it was a Monday! My cousin wanted to dine at the best, but it was not to be... however, we were quite pleased with this find.  Fresh pasta cooked that morning by authentic Italian 'Mammas'... we were not disappointed. In fact, that meal kind of kept me full until about 9pm that night!

KINKI GERLINKI

Fun at kinki gerlinki Discovered this shop on a recent break in Melbourne. What a cute store with lots of prints/patterns... ended up succumbing to some purchases too! If only they had a store in Adelaide... perhaps it's best they don't actually.

JAPANESE INSPIRED

I found these flowers on my way home from work.  Often, I pick up fallen branches, twigs, flowers etc that cross my path, then come back home and find a home for them. Not sure what these flowers are, sorry, but they are all throughout my neighborhood and have all but gone with the winter. I was lying on my couch (after a hard day at the office)! and the sun was coming in through the lace curtain on my window, and it left this speckled look.  I quickly picked up my camera and snapped!

MAGNIFICENT MAGNOLIAS

It's magnolia month! This photo was taken by my friend on a recent trip to Melbourne. (This is a house in Kensington, which I think looks quite eerie and beautiful). I absolutely love Magnolias, and there are a few trees around my current neighborhood that have recently flowered. I just haven't had the courage to take any photos yet, as there is always a car in the driveway and I really want to get a close up!

This photo was taken in Melbourne, too but this time, in the city! I saw quite a few of them when walking down Smith St. I was quite shocked to see them flourishing. Initially I saw them at night when we went out to dinner, and of course, I had to come back during the day to take a photo...
